5 ways to fit exercise into your daily routine

Exercise

Are you always on the go? Do you find it hard to fit exercise into your busy day? Have no fear – here are some easy ways to fit exercise into your day.

Hey gang,

There are lots of ways to fit exercise into your daily activities if you haven’t got time to dedicate an hour to getting fit.

Here are 5 ways to fit exercise into your daily routine:

  • Use your lunch hour

Even if you can’t get to the gym, go for a brisk work to get your lunch and walk back again. If you can bring a change of clothes, consider a quick jog or run.

  • Commute by bicycle or foot

Even if it’s not possible every day because of the distance, cycling or walking to work even a couple of times a week can be great for your overall fitness. If the distance really makes it impossible, get off the train or bus a couple of stops before work and walk the remainder of the way.

  • Get your house in order

All of us have to tidy our house at some point. Here’s a previous post that will give you some tips on how to exercise while doing that housework.

  • Spend time with your children

If you’re a parent, grandparent, or older sibling, running around the garden, playing physical games, or having a kick about in the park with the kids can really burn the calories.

  • Watch TV

The average Brit watches 3.8 hours of television per day. That’s a lot of TV time where we could be moving! Try watching TV while marching or jogging on the spot. During the commercial break, do come push-ups or sit-ups. You’ll soon be getting a lot more exercise than usual.

  • So why not try one of these tomorrow? It’s the first step to getting fit and healthy.

    Be happy,

    Mr. M.
