❤️ Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Fish Pie Recipe❤️

Ingredients:

  • 1 large sweet potato
  • 1 large white potato
  • 2 grated boiled eggs
  • 2 portions of cod
  • 1 portion of salmon
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped spring onion
  • A handful of chopped parsley
  • 2 tbsp plain flour
  • 500ml milk
  • Salt and pepper
  • (Optional) frozen peas

Method:

  1. Cut the potatoes into chunks, cook until tender, then mash.
  2. Sauté the onion and spring onion in a little butter until softened.
  3. Add the flour and cook for a minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Gradually add the milk, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  5. Add the fish and, as it starts to cook, use a spoon to break it into chunks.
  6. Stir in the grated boiled eggs and chopped parsley. Adding a few frozen peas at this point is a nice touch.
  7. Season with plenty of black pepper and a little salt, if desired.
  8. Spoon the mixture into a baking dish and leave to cool slightly.
  9. Carefully spread the mashed potato on top.
  10. Bake in the oven until bubbling and golden brown. Use the grill to crisp up the potato topping for a delicious finish.
