A message from Mr Motivator:
Dear Welsh1,
To say that I feel your pain is partially true – I am not sure what you are going through, but I have been there, and living with pain is never an answer! You need to move towards a place where there is no pain, that has got to be the right move.
There was a point some 10 years ago when, at age 62, I dislocated my right knee and ripped my patella tendon. I had to say “yes, let’s get me free so that I can work towards recovering my independence”. That was a great decision, as here I now am feeling so much better.
The body is a wonderful machine and with 650 muscles at your disposal, you have a choice to move muscles that do not cause you any pain. In doing so, it improves your mental state, your physical prowess, and makes you feel useful, independent, and better.
Visit the “workouts” section of the club and select wisely, based on your ability, to work from a chair. Remember that every little bit that you can do, using muscles that don’t cause you any pain, will make you better prepared for your operation.
So, let’s get on with it and recapture your independence, and then you can look forward to a better tomorrow.
Just remind yourself that you can do it!
Be happy and be well.
Kind Regards
Mr M
